Pre-yarn unwashed 110 g

Pre-yarn is carded wool that is divided into thin strips, but not spun. Suitable for those who like to spin themselves, or for knitting, weaving or felting as it is. Garments that are knitted from pre-yarn become incredibly light and airy, and it is not difficult. The fragile thread becomes strong as soon as it is on the needles, and if the yarn comes apart, just overlap the ends by a few centimeters and continue knitting. Fits needles 3,5 or 4.

The yarn is made from autumn wool from our Norwegian spelt sheep. It is unwashed, which makes it very easy to work with. It also means that you have full control over what material the wool will come into contact with! Be aware that there is a slight smell of sheep, this smell disappears easily when washing the finished product. We do not recommend washing the pre-yarn, as it easily felts. Knitted or woven pre-yarn can be washed on the wool programme, finished spun yarn can be hand washed.

Unwashed wool should not be stored for a long time, as the wool grease can go rancid. It will then be more difficult to clean the product. When storing, wool should be stored as dark and cool as possible, preferably in the freezer.
